Revenue collection of goods and services tax (GST) in Panchkula zone has shown a growth of 30 per cent in 2024-25 over last year. This hike is higher than tax collected in Chandigarh and Punjab. This was stated by Manoj Kumar Srivastava, Chief Commissioner, GST, Haryana.

He was speaking during a meeting with industry organised by the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Yamunanagar.

He said his endeavour was to meet industrialists and traders of small towns across Haryana to obtain first-hand information about difficulties faced by them. He further said the purpose of such meetings was to extend helping hand to the industry and traders so that they could do business without any hindrance.

Speaking on the occasion, Pankaj Malik, chartered accountant, said the objective of the government and the industry was to achieve full compliance of the GST laws. He said there could be a difference in the point of view of the government and the industry regarding interpretation of the GST laws.
