3 riding auto snatch mobile
Chandigarh: Three miscreants riding an auto-rickshaw allegedly snatched a purse and a mobile phone from a man. In his complaint to the police, Ravi, a resident of Palsora village, stated that the suspects snatched his mobile phone and a purse containing Rs5,000 and documents near the Dhanas lake. The incident took place on June 26. The police have registered a case in this connection at the Sector 11 police station. TNS

Training for aspiring cops
Mohali: The police held a free training programme for aspiring candidates of the forthcoming police recruitment for both men and women at the Sports Stadium, Sector 78, Mohali, here on Monday. Information on running, high jump and long jump as well as other exercises for fitness were shared with participants.
