3 killed as car falls into gorge in Shimla's Chopal 

The accident took place during the wee hours on Sarahan-Pulvahal link road when the driver lost control of the vehicle

Three persons were killed after a car (HP 10 C 0476) they were travelling in plunged into a deep gorge in Chopal Tehsil, district Shimla.
The deceased have been identified as Prikshit Bharti (28) of Kadrot village in Jubbal, Mukesh (32), resident of Dochi village in Jubbal and Vinod Kumar (32) of Jhalta village in Jubbal.
The accident took place during the wee hours on Sarahan-Pulvahal link road when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to which the vehicle went into a deep gorge, killing all three on the spot.
They were noticed by locals who informed the police. Acting upon the information, a police team from Chopal reached the spot and recovered the bodies. The bodies were taken to Civil Hospital, Chopal, for postmortem after which the bodies were handed over to their relatives for cremation.
Shimla SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi confirmed the report and said police is conducting an investigation.
Meanwhile, the district administration has also provided Rs 25,000 as relief to the families of the deceased.
