3 held over abducting racket
The Gurugram police busted a child-abducting racket and arrested three accused, including two women involved in the racket. The police have also rescued a 5-year-old child safely from them whom they had abducted on Tuesday for using him for the purpose of begging. An FIR was registered at the Sector 65 police station.
According to the police, a resident of Behrampur village filed a complaint to the police that an unknown woman had taken away his 5-year-old son while playing in the street. The police finally arrested three accused, including two women, from the Sector 52 area. The arrested accused were identified as Varsha, Ashah, alias Sapna and her husband Mukul .
“It was revealed that the accused changed the clothes of the child and were going to take the child to Bihar but were arrested by the police,” said sub-inspector Jitendra, the investigating officer. “An FIR was registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita,” said Sandeep Kumar, spokesperson for the police.
