3 die, 7 injured as 2 cars collide in Patiala

Three people died and seven were injured following a head-on collision between two cars near Shadipur village in Patiala.

Police have registered a case against accused tipper driver Balbir Singh at the Sadar police station.

According to police, the deceased are Jaspal Kaur (55), her son Harinder Singh (38), and Poonam Kaur.

The seven injured have been admitted to different hospitals.

Police said a tipper trolley was parked on the road and two cars collided head on when one of them tried to overtake the parked vehicle around 4 am on Monday.

Police said they had registered an FIR against the accused driver at the Sadar police station.
