The Chandigarh Police have booked three immigration agents for duping people to the tune of Rs 58 lakh. In one incident, complainant Ramesh Pachhai and others alleged that one Jaswal, owner of Divine Immigration, Sector 17, cheated them of Rs 34.09 lakh, on the pretext of sending them abroad.

Another complaint was made by V Sendhil Kumar who alleged that Avtar Singh and others cheated him of Rs 3.7 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Canada.

In another complaint, Rahul Sharma, a resident of Sector 40, alleged that one Mohammad Shariq took Rs 32 lakh from him for sending him abroad. Later, the suspect returned only Rs 12.5 lakh to the complainant.
