The GRP in Jalandhar has registered a case and initiated proceedings under the Section 194 (suicide) of the BNSS in the case.
While no injuries have been found on the body of the woman, passersby and residents were in a shock when they saw a young woman’s body hanging from a tree.
The police said the girl had an altercation with her parents about working at the Sultanpur Lodhi mandi where her father worked. Officials said she left her home late on the evening of September 26 and her body was found hanging from the tree by residents on Friday morning.
The police sent the body for post-mortem.

Upset after the incident, she left her house on Friday night and her family searched for her all night. In the morning, her body was found hanging. The family hasn’t pressed charges on anyone else.”
