The Panchkula police have made strict security arrangements to conduct the Assembly elections in Panchkula in a free and fair manner. The department has deputed 12 static surveillance teams (SST), six flying-squad teams (FST) and has set-up four special checkpoints at inter-state borders to check all the vehicles that enter and exit the state.

Police officials said they were holding flag marches in every street, mohalla, market and sector with the help of paramilitary forces in their jurisdiction to spread awareness.

Four crime unit teams, under the leadership of inspector rank officers, have been formed. These teams will take strict action on receiving information about anti-social activities, especially related to illegal liquor, cash and weapons.
