2 held in Raipur Rani firing case
The Panchkula police have arrested two accused involved in a firing case at Bharoli village in Raipur Rani and recovered a pistol and a stolen car from their possession.
On September 20, in Raipur Rani area, youths riding in a car had fired on Goldy, son of Chuhad Singh, a resident of Khedi village, at Bharoli in Raipur Rani, after which a case was registered at the Raipur Rani police station.
ACP (Crime) Arvind Kamboj said on September 20, the accused identified as Dhruv, son of Rajiv Garg, along with his two other companions riding on a motorcycle, fired on Goldy. It was found that the three accused had stolen a car from Yamunanagar about three months ago. They later came to Raipur Rani, parked the car on a crusher, got on a motorcycle and carried out the firing incident and then fled in the car.
A case for the theft of car was registered in Yamunanagar. In the same car, an illegal pistol was also recovered from the accused, identified as Dhruv. The detective staff team arrested Akshit (25), son of Dharampal, a resident of Machhrauli in Yamunanagar, in the firing case on October 21.
After his interrogation during five-day police remand, the second accused named Dhruv (26), son of Rajiv Garg and resident DD Flat, Block A, Mayur Punj, Delhi, was arrested from Sandhaya in Yamunanagar on October 25. Dhruv has been taken on six-day police remand.
