The police have arrested two accused in the case of sending Rajasthan-branded liquor from Bhiwani to Bihar through a courier service in Bhiwani town.

The police team seized a Honda car and recovered 383 bottles of illicit English liquor from the car. The accused, identified as Hardeep, resident of Dohki village in Charkhi Dadri district, and Harit, a resident of Mitathal village in Bhiwani district, were produced in a court, which remanded them to six days’ police remand.

SHO (City), Bhiwani, Inspector Satnarayan said here today that Assistant Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar, who is in-charge of Police Post, Anaj Mandi, received information from reliable sources that a Honda Amaze car, loaded with illegal liquor, was heading towards Dadri or Loharu town in the district.

The police formed a team and set up a naka. It intercepted a Honda Amaze car. On being questioned, the driver informed the police that he was assigned the duty to supply goods in the nearby areas. However, during a thorough search of the vehicle, the police team recovered illegal English liquor of Rajasthan brand filled in plastic containers.

The police team registered a case against the accused under relevant sections and the Excise Act at the City Police Station, Bhiwani, and arrested two accused.
