Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has called for concerted efforts to make India self-reliant by contributing to make it the No. 1 economy of the world.

Addressing the graduation ceremony at the Indian School of Business, Mohali, of the 180 successful students in Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy (AMPPP), in Healthcare (AMPH), in Operations and Supply Chain (AMPOS) and in Infrastructure (AMPI) streams, Kataria said it was proud moment for them to graduate from the prestigious institution of Asia in business studies and now it was their turn to set high standards in respective fields of service, be it public or private sector.

IAS couple Rahul Bhandari and Rakhi Gupta Bhandari, besides Mohali Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain were among those awarded degrees today.

Expressing his happiness over the fact that most degree holders were women, the Governor said education was the only field that had no gender monopoly and one can rise high by putting in hard work.

He said all graduates and the premier institute of Indian School of Business (ISB) have a big challenge ahead to make the country ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.

Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Chairman of the Advisory Board to the ISB, Mohali Campus, Prof Madan Pillutla, Dean, ISB, and Prof Ramabhadran Thirumalai, Deputy Dean, Mohali Campus, and Associate Professor of Finance (Practice), ISB, were also present during the ceremony.
