174 plaints settled at Jan Suvidha camp in Bassi Pathana: SDM
Fatehgarh Sahib, July 16
Deputy Commissioner Parneet Shergill, who inaugurated a Jan Suvidha camp at Nandpur Kalour village in Bassi Pathana, today said these camps were proving a boon for the people in rural areas as their grievances were being redressed under one roof.
Bassi Pathana SDM Sanjiv Kumar said a total of 174 complaints were settled on the spot.
The DC said as per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Jan Suvidha camps were being organised in the district to solve problems of the people at the grassroots level.
Shergill added that the Chief Minister’s Support Centre and the CM Windows had been set up at the District Administrative Complex, where the people could lodge their complaints. She said earlier, one had to go to Chandigarh to get their issues addressed.
“Orders have been issued to all officials for timely redressal of the complaints,” added the DC.
Bassi Pathana MLA Rupinder Singh Happy said, “The state government is committed to redress grievances of the people. Now, the government will run from villages.” He said the CM had directed officials to address the grievances within stipulated time.
Ishan Chaudhary, Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Bassi Pathana, Tehsildar Hitu Gupta and Naib Tehsildar Deepak Bhardwaj were also present.
