The police seized 160 kg of poppy husk near Hanumangarh and 10 kg in Abohar.

Cops intercepted a truck near Makkasar village on the Suratgarh-Hanumangarh road and seized 160 kg of poppy husk that was reportedly concealed in salt bags. Driver Avtar Singh Nainewal Barnala was arrested under the NDPS Act but owner Pradeep Singh Dhanaula managed to flee.

The police seized 10 kg of poppy husk by intercepting a truck near Abohar and held driver Mahinderjit Patti and cleaner Sher Singh. — OC
