163 donate blood at camp

Chandigarh, July 31
A blood donation camp was organised at the District Courts Complex in Sector 43 here today.
The camp was held in the memory of Shaheed Udham Singh on his martyrdom day by Mission; the Awakening, in association with the District Bar Association. Volunteers from Red Cross Society, also participated in the camp.
Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, MLA Amritsar North, Baljinder Pal Singh, co-chairman, Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, Lekh Raj Sharma, former chairman of the Bar Council, Parminder Singh and Vijay Aggarwal, secretary and treasurer of the DBA, respectively, volunteered for donation.
As many as 163 donors, including many first-timers and women, donated blood on the occasion. — TNS
