1,561 candidates file nominations

Highest 31 in Bhiwani, lowest nine in Nangal Chaudhary

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal today said as many as 1,561 candidates, from all parties and Independents, have filed nomination papers for the Assembly elections scheduled for October 5, which have been scrutinised. Nominations can be withdrawn till September 16.

The Chief Electoral Officer said the voting will be held on October 5 and counting will take place on October 8, and the result will be declared on the same day.

Bhiwani Assembly constituency has the highest number of 31 candidates, while Nangal Chaudhary Assembly constituency has the lowest with nine candidates, he added.
