15-year-old Bathinda lad Aryan wins Rs 50 lakh on TV show KBC
Aryan Handa (15) from Bathinda has won Rs 50 lakh reward money on the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
Aryan is a Class X student at Delhi Public School, Bathinda. His father Navinder Handa works as an Assistant Engineer in the PWD (B&R), while his mother Kanchan works at Army Hospital, Bathinda.
Aryan wants to be an aerospace engineer in the ISRO.
A bright student with a passion for general knowledge, Aryan became one of the youngest contestants to make it to the top echelons of the show and secure a big prize money.
The teenage prodigy, who appeared on KBC-16 in a special episode, impressed the host, Amitabh Bachchan, and the audience with his sharp intellect and calm demeanour. He answered a series of challenging questions with ease, showcasing not just his academic knowledge, but also his quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
The turning point came when Aryan faced the Rs 50 lakh question about the Ashoka Chakra and its significance. He answered the question correctly, securing Rs 50 lakh. Expressing excitement, Aryan said, "It's a dream come true. I still can't believe I've come this far. I'm grateful to my family, my teachers and the KBC team for this opportunity."
During the show, Amitabh Bachchan, who has been hosting KBC since its inception, praised Aryan for his performance. "It is a rare sight to see such confidence and intelligence at such a young age. Aryan has a bright future ahead," he said.
His victory serves as a reminder that age is no barrier to success, and that anything is possible if one has the right attitude and preparation.
