136 units of blood collected at camp in Karsog; SDM, wife among donors

Sant Nirankari Mission organised a blood donation camp on the Ram Temple premises at Karsog in Mandi district today. A total of 136 units of blood were collected at the camp for the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Shimla.

The camp was inaugurated by Raj Kumar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Karsog. Hem Raj Sharma, coordinator, Sant Nirankari Mission’s Public Relations Department, and RK Abhilashi, the Mandi zone in-charge of the mission, were present at the camp.

The SDM praised the mission’s selfless efforts in organising blood donation camps, calling it a significant contribution to humanitarian service. He said 136 units of blood collected at the camp would be sent to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla. SDM Raj Kumar and his wife Anita Rani donated blood at the camp.

Hem Raj Sharma said Sant Nirankari Mission had organised 8,446 camps nationwide during which 13,75,666 units of blood had been collected.

Dr RK Abhilashi, mandi zone in-charge of the mission, provided detailed information about blood donation camps organised in the zone and expressed gratitude to donors and volunteers.
