13 panchayats of Jaisinghpur constituency to get potable water, says minister Goma

A drinking water supply scheme would be launched for 13 panchayats of the Palam area of the Jaisinghpur Assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 34 crore.

This information was given by Ayush, Youth Services and Sports, Law and Legal Remembrancer’s Minister Yadvinder Goma while addressing the gathering after the inauguration of the Forest Department’s rest house constructed at a cost of Rs 45 lakh at the Andretta gram panchayat. He said after the completion of the scheme by the end of next year, thousands of people of 13 panchayats from the Saliyana to Agojar and Tikkar Khola would get pure drinking water at their homes.

He said the main objective of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led state government was to ensure that benefits of all welfare schemes reached every last and needy person. On directions of the CM, the government at your door programme was organised at Andretta village of the Jaisinghpur constituency today to understand problems of residents, he said.

Goma said as a Cabinet Minister, he was trying to complete works of the public welfare and interest. He said, “I am working with commitment to provide basic facilities and fulfil requirements of the people in the Jaisinghpur Assembly constituency.”

While congratulating residents of Andretta village for the rest house, he said, “A new rest house is also being built at Saliyana at a cost of Rs 3 crore so that the people of this area can benefit from it. An amount of Rs 70 lakh has been released for the construction of the building of the primary health centre at Panchrukhi.”

The minister assured the people that after the construction of the new building, the primary health centre would be upgraded.

He further said the tarring work of the Baru Nandli road would be completed in a month. Sub-tehsil Panchrukhi would start functioning as a tehsil before March, he said. He announced Rs 5 lakh for the beautification of Andretta Mela Ground and Rs 2.5 lakh each as the first instalment for the construction of the buildings of Mahila Mandal Bhawan, Chhatra Ward No. 1 and 2, and Mahila Mandal, Chakwan. He also promised to fulfil all demands of the panchayat in a phased manner.
