Amid the statewide curfew, the district administration has supplied 19,000 cylinders on the doorstep of the district residents in the past two days. The administration has also started an online facility to apply for e-passes, published helpline for home delivery of essential items and pressed 24 mobile vans into service to deliver medicines.

The officials said there was sufficient stock of rice and wheat at godowns in the district and residents need not worry about the shortage of grains. People must not hoard items as this could lead to scarcity of items, they said.
