Amritsar, March 5

Tata Steel officials, in collaboration with Amritsar Police personnel, raided the premises of a wholesaler’s shop located in Ram Bagh area for selling counterfeit Tata Wiron brand barbed wires illegally. The products were being sold under the registered ‘Tata’ trademark and branding in an attempt to deceive consumers into believing that they were purchasing genuine Tata products.

On receiving information about the illegal activity, Tata Steel officials along with the police conducted a raid on the wholesaler and seized the fake products. An FIR has been registered against the local trader under the provisions of the Copyright Act, 1957.
