All roads leading to historical gurdwaras in Fatehgarh Sahib are being repaired at a cost of Rs 1.62 crore and the work will be completed before the commencement of Shaheedi Sabha, said MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai said.

While inaugurating the repair work of Lincoln College Road, leading to Gurdwara Jyoti Swarup Sahib, the Fatehgarh Sahib MLA said all roads were being repaired for the convenience of a large number of devotees who will come to pay obeisance to younger Sahibzadas during the annual Shaheedi Sabha. He said the State Government had sanctioned Rs 1.62 crore and Rs 65 lakh was being spent to reconstruct the said road that was in a very poor condition.

Besides, the road from Gurdwara Shri Fatehgarh Sahib to Bahadur Garh, which was damaged due to sewerage work, is being repaired.
