Chandigarh: To provide better transport facilities to the people, Haryana Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma said the state government had decided to run 190 buses under the kilometre scheme. He said that of the 190 buses, 66 buses would soon start plying in Gurugram, Palwal and Faridabad districts. The operators of the 190 buses had agreed to run them at a rate of Rs26.92 per km, he added. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
