Several artists took part in the project “40 years 40 murals”, a wall painting depicting the people’s struggle against government oppression and the fight for their rights over the years, to mark the 40th anniversary of Portugal’s Carnation Revolution of April 25, 1974 which toppled a right-wing dictatorship.

The installation “Das chemische Lustgaertlein” (Small Chemical Pleasure Garden) by Swiss artists Gerda Steiner and Joerg Lenzlinger is on display at the exhibition “Art and Alchemy — The Mystery of Transformation” at the Museum Kunstpalast in Duesseldorf, western Germany. The museum presents “an exhibition spanning all epochs and genres, introducing the link between art and alchemy in past and present times.”
