A new kind of paper has been developed by Kavita Shukla, a 27-year-old Indian origin inventor in the US, to keep fruits and vegetables fresh for longer. This paper is like a blotting paper and is dipped in mixture of herbs and spices whose formula Kavita got from grandmother in India. The paper is now being marketed in USA under the brand name, “Fenugreen Fresh Paper”. It increases the shelf life of fruits and vegetable from 2-4 times. Fenugreen Fresh Paper has already been judged safe by the National Food Authority and the FDA.
