Farmers of Zentsuji city, Kagawa Prefecture, of western Japan, are growing water melons which are cube shaped. These fruits are developed by putting the young growing fruits in cube-shaped transparent plastic containers. The fruits measure 13x13x13 cm. Besides cubes, the fruits are grown in other fancy shapes too. These fruits have been have been specially developed for sale in American supermarkets. The farmers expect these fruits to fetch a price of 10,000 Japanese yens (Rs 5,662) a piece.
