A watery fruit
Watermelon contains 92 per cent water. Probably that is why it is called a “water” melon. The watery part of the watermelon contains about 6 per cent sugar. Watermelon is a good source of lycopene. Recent research indicates that this fruit has anti hypertensive properties. Water melon can, therefore, be a useful item of food for those suffering from high blood pressure.
