Gold diggers of Ghana
Wright & Lomu strike it rich in Jungle Gold

They
were millionaires till the economic downturn made them paupers. Jungle
Gold Monday to Friday at 10 p.m. on Discovery Channel revolves
around George Wright and Scott Lomu, who are desperate to reclaim
their lives after the crash of 2008. They see their chance when
someone tells them there are millions of dollars of gold buried in
Ghana, Africa’s second largest gold producing country. They borrow
$150,000 from an investor and head to Ghana’s dense jungles to join
thousands of determined gold miners from around the world who go there
to seek their fortunes. It sounds like a perfect get-rich-quick
opportunity, but in Ghana, mining is the easy part. With everything on
the line, the two rookie American gold miners know the pressure is on
them from the very start to find gold to pay back this loan, as well
as their other debts. Their stakes have never been higher. But they
soon realise while getting the gold out of the ground is a challenge,
the real test comes once they find it. Armed thieves, illegal miners
and escaping with the precious metal (and their lives) are among their
biggest challenges. Watch this hair-raising series where one wrong
move will mean not just end of their mission but their lives as well.
