 Ripe bananas are dried
in Brazil and some other countries. Such bananas are sold in large
quantities in food stores of Sao Palo and Rio de Janeiro. There is no
added sugar or preservative. The fruits make a perfect snack
especially if you are looking for an energy boost. Though these are
whole fruits, but they look smaller in size as the fruits shrink after
losing moisture in drying process. The taste is right, not overtly
sweet, texture is chewy and the flavour is perfect. The drying process
is carried out in sun. It seems that Brazilian weather and the
Brazilian banana varieties are suitable for sun drying.
