Raisins are good for diabetics
Dr Dhiranjit Parmar

Research shows that if a diabetic person snacks on raisins three times a day, his postprandial (post meal) blood glucose level may be significantly lower than a person snacking on any other food of the same calorific value. So it is safe for diabetics, living on prescribed calories, to satisfy hunger pangs with raisins than any other snack. This was established by a study carried out on 46 diabetic men and women by Dr Harold Bays at the Louisville Metabolic and Atherosclerosis Center at Louisville, USA.
