Celebrating the spirit of womanhood
It’s
a female version of The Hangover. Though action in the movie is
set in Los Angeles, in Hot in Cleveland from Monday to Friday
at 10 pm on Comedy Central is set far away from the Sin City. The
series is based on three 40-something entertainment industry veterans
who are also the best of friends. They decide to go for a girls-only
vacation. But when they are flying form Los Angeles to Paris, their
plane makes an unexpected emergency landing in Cleveland. That’s
when their lives are changed forever. Realising that all norms from
Los Angeles don’t apply anymore, they decide to celebrate a city
that values real women and stay where they’re still considered hot.
They soon rediscover themselves in a new ‘promised land’. Loving
their new home, the women find themselves living under one roof and
battling the sassy caretaker of the property they have rented. Voted
in America as one of the highest-rated comedies of the decade, the
sitcom is a laugh riot and a tribute to the spirit of womenhood. —
