Till divorce brings us together

It is the second season of one of recent times’ funniest serials. Happily Divorced on Monday at 8.30 p.m. on Comedy Central is back and the excitement of the middle-aged couple continues. The story revolves around Fran Lovett, a Los Angeles florist, who gets the shock of her life when her husband of 18 years confesses he is a closet gay. She divorces him but because of the economic downturn the two decide to live together until the situation improves. Though it’s hard to come to terms with the changed domestic circumstances Fran decides to move on in life and re-enter the dating pool and look for a suitable husband all over again. Interestingly, the story is based on real life of the series creators Fran Dreshcer and Peter Marc Jacobson. The two, who are now divorced, decided to turn their unusual life story into a sitcom…A fact that makes it all the more absorbing.
