What lies beneath It’s a show that started a ghost frenzy and spawned a number of lookalikes. But the original Ghost Hunters Mondays 7 p.m. on AXN India has managed to keep its passionate fan following intact season after season. The Ghost Hunters are a group of real-life paranormal researchers, who investigate a chilling range of bizarre occurrences that challenge even the most hard-boiled of sceptics. The team is led by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson two plumbers who go ghost hunting in their spare time. Their company — The Atlantic Paranormal Society, or TAPS — invites phone calls, e-mails, and personal visits from people who have, or claim to have, a non-physical entity interfering with their lives. They help people suffering from what they call ‘ghost hauntings’. They use specialised tools like EMF detectors, digital recorders and infra red and thermal cameras to detect supernatural happenings. While the two protagonists, Jason and Grant are able to explain away almost every scary incident they encounter, there are some incidents that seem to have no explanation except, of course, the one thing nobody wants to believe....that ghosts really exist! Watch this chilling series that will keep you on tenterhooks from the word go.
Malcolm’s world IT started in the millennium year and simply does not seem to go out of fashion. That’s because Malcolm In The Middle every Wednesday at 9.30 p.m. on Comedy Central channel is an incredibly imaginative sitcom. This rib-tickling yet honest account of family life continues to follow the adventures and misadventures of this slightly dysfunctional family as seen by Malcolm. A normal kid who is perfectly content skateboarding, with his brothers and avoiding the school bully, Malcolm’s world is suddenly turned upside down when it’s discovered he has a genius IQ. He is forced into the "gifted" class where he finds himself surrounded by a group of exceptionally bright social misfits. If you haven’t seen it before, this series will be a treat and if you have seen it, it is still worth a watch the second or third, or even the fourth time. — NF
