Our politicians

Our country was once ruled by the British

Who gave Indians lot of pain

Freedom fighters tried to free our country

Although they freed us, they didn’t hope

That the future of our country will be so dark

They started elections to give a chance to every politician

But today, there is no such scope

The actions of our politicians have put a blemish so dark

Today, when elections come, politicians make fake promises

Which will never be fulfilled, even after a century

In their records, they claim, they are doing much for the nation

But actually they are only filling their treasures

They think that people are mad

After every five years, they make their usual promises

Once elected, they don’t fulfill these and make people sad

People’s welfare doesn’t matter to them

They only want their monopolies

We all can see where our country’s future does stand

Our politics has become so bad that now, no one wants to enter it

If all these practices continue, in our country, scams will expand

So I wish, our politicians should change and help our country progress a bit
