Woo each other with a makeover

It’s that time of the year when women are all set to kill with their looks. And guys, if you’ve tried everything to keep your girlfriend happy, from irresistible chocolates and romantic night-outs to flowers, then perhaps it’s now time to gift her a "makeover session" this Valentine season. Many of them are queuing up to do it for themselves whereas others are opting to undergo the treatments for their beloved.

With various non-surgical beautification treatments available like lip augmentation, eyebrow-lifts, cheek augmentations, liposuctions, nose jobs etc., one can get their desired look in just a few shots! And fortunately, these treatments show results in a couple of days and the effect lasts up to four to six months. The derma filler is like a magical paint brush that paints a lovely picture with just one stroke. In today’s world when women are busy and don’t have time to devote even to themselves, the advent of dermal fillers has definitely made many women live their dream of getting charming looks. Even men are calling up for queries, says a cosmetic surgeon, and taking appointments for their partners. They are gifting treatments to their loved ones for Valentine’s Day.

Deepak Sharma, an engineer living in Mumbai, was anxious around his 30th birthday. Even a well-paying job, a new house, a fancy car and true love couldn’t shake his jitters. A visit to the nearest cosmetic treatment clinic in a bid to get rid of his forehead wrinkles just a month before Valentine’s Day helped. He was repeatedly being teased for his ‘frown’, which made him look much older than his age.

The urban crowd has witnessed a visible change in the acceptance of cosmetic treatments like Botox. If you have been fretting about the creases on your forehead, wrinkles near your eyes, droopy eye-brows, shaping the jaw line then you should not waste time any more. People have become very conscious about their looks. Everybody wants to have a perfect glow and perfect curves. Not only women, even men have become very particular about their looks. They want to look the best for their partner," says Vandana Chatrath, a New Delhi-based dermatologist. A 2010 report by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons revealed that the fastest-growing non-surgical procedures sought out by men aged between 20 and 29 are injections of Botox and soft-tissue fillers like Juv`E9derm.

Another interesting fact that emerges is that girls are also increasingly egging on their partners to take up grooming. There is a big shift in the perception as far as looks go. All gain and no pain is the mantra. There is no chance of anyone getting a scar or mark since the treatment is non-surgical. — TNS
