Do you have a passion for cooking and love to entertain? Come Dine With Me every Tuesday at 6 p.m. on BBC Entertainment is a reality show to find the ultimate dinner party host. Every week, five strangers, who love to entertain, take turns to host a dinner party in their own personal style and cook their idea of a perfect evening. But this is a feast with a twist: after each dinner, the guests secretly give scores to the host based on the food, entertainment and atmosphere. At the week’s end, the top-scoring host wins €1,000 in cash. All contestants think they know exactly what makes the perfect dinner party, but unfortunately, their guests don’t always agree. When the body speaks the body has a language of its own, which mirrors a person’s state of mind. Politicians, filmstars, and sportspersons know the importance of body language and use it to their maximum advantage. Secret of Body Language on Saturdays at 9 p.m on History TV18 examines this aspect of political icons from American President Franklin D. Roosevelt to Barack Obama. It reveals how 93 per cent of human communication takes place by gestures and only 7 per cent through words. The presentation explores the subtle art of silent (and sometimes, inadvertent) signals, and examines the ways in which political leaders and celebrities use the method to entice audiences to trust and follow them. This is a fascinating programme that shows how body language can sometimes tell us what politicians don’t want us to know about them. — NF
