My mother
Words fail to
describe my mom
Whose shoulders
I lean upon
In whose
unfathomable love I bask everyday
In whose aroma
of devotion, I don’t feel the stench of adversity
In whose
presence, I heave a sigh of relief
In whose shade
I forget all my grief
My mom, my
pearl, my jewel
It is in my
heart where she dwells
The biggest
creation of the Almighty
Depressed when
I am, she ends all my anxiety
She was there
when I took the earliest step and made the first jump
When I played
pranks in her lap
Playfully I
teased her and gave a clap
She’s the
marvel of sacrifice
No one would be
as nice
A priceless
treasure, an incredible asset and a boon
In the day as
sun and at night as moon
No doubt, to
God she does resemble
She stands with
me through every thick and thin
Isolated when I
am by my kith
and kin
She holds my
hand to forgive my sin
For her, I
extend my great
obeisance
As a little
gift for her
affection
immense
Then how could
I forget my
filial
obligations
Doctor-engineer!
No! Parental service is my destination
