Child labour
Let’s vow to
halt this great menace
Bitter are the
fruits borne by child labour
Which isn’t
in mankind’s favour
Precious are
the days of childhood
Is this the age
of collecting wood?
Childhood, an
age of fun, frolic and smiling gestures
An age of
playing, enjoying and having adventures
How shameful!
Made to work at
such a tender age
For a little
almost
non-existing
wage
Working in
industries, mines and farms
Toiling hard
with their tender
And delicate
arms
"Our
national progress is at alarm"
Let’s think
for a while
Is it justified
with little juvenile
They are the
future of our nation
Who need to be
behoved with education
These innocent
children are our nation’s jewels
Then why are
they dwelling in hells
Bearing and
enduring all their misery
Let us
enlighten their lives with history and chemistry
There’s an
immediate need of a social reform
Let’s stop
this devastating storm
Abolition of
forced labour is the need of hour
And equality
needs to come in power
When will there
be a change in their fate?
The nation
still awaits that date.
