It is a unique reality show that is entertaining and a lesson in management. Undercover Boss every Monday at 10 P.M. on BBC Entertainment is the British version of the hit American show by the same name. Each week, the series follows real-life high-ranking business leaders, who leave the comfort of the office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of the company they are managing. The idea is to observe up and close how the company really works and identify how it can be improved. While working alongside their employees, the bosses see the effects that their decisions have on others, where the problems lie within their organisations and identify the strong and weak points of every department of the company. In the process, they also discover the unsung heroes, who make their companies run. At the end of the week, they reveal to the employees their real identity and reward the hard working ones and resolving the problems that prevent others from not giving their best. Magnates who have featured include the bosses of Best Western, Ann Summers, Nascar, Jockey Club and others, who say the experience has been an eye-opener and actually improved things in their respective organisations. From Masterchef to TV chef It is a clever take on the hit cookery show Masterchef India and continues from where it left off. For this she invites celebrity chefs, visits famous kitchens of India and also calls the finalists of Masterchef India to show ways and means of making finger-licking food. So bring out your forks and knives as and watch India’s first Masterchef work her magic. — NF
