Life’s irony
Standing under
the same sun
Beneath which
those little kids stood
Watching their
pale face and eyes dun
I looked at the
irony of life stunned
Feeling weak
and trapped, I looked
At those poor
hands begging for a penny
I had one but
will they get their life booked
For love and
happiness that is uncanny
I was helpless
I could not
address poor’s plight
This thought is
making me restless
How can I do
them right?
I was the one
in Sector 17 enjoying
They were
spoiling their childhood in the crowd
Which could not
hear what they wowed
Nobody cares of
these unwanted shrunken bodies
Roaming in
between them
Even if one of
them dies
Burning beneath
the same sun they stand under
Unfortunately,
even I was also included
In that crowd
for whom they were excluded
Standing under
the same sun
