THIS Friendship Day let your imagination fly and create gifts for your best friends instead of buying one.

Make a one and only T-shirt for your special friends. Use your favourite photograph of you and your friends and get it printed on a T-shirt. Make sure to sign it with a permanent, non-transferable marker and loads of funny messages before you wrap and gift it. You can also use fabric colour to make palm impressions with your signature and friendship messages in the middle of the shirt. And voila! You have just created your own special, customised T-shirt design for your best friend.

How about gifting a hand made lamp shade to your friend? You just need two to three balloons, a thick cotton thread ball and glue. To make the handmade lamp, you need to blow a balloon to the size of the lamp you want. Once you have blown the balloon, use the thread and dip it in glue. Start wrapping the thread around the balloon. Make sure that the thread is dipped in and has enough glue when you wrap it around the balloon. You can either use colourful threads to do this, or you can use white thread and then paint different colours on it once its dries. After the thread dries and is nicely stuck on the balloon, take a pin and burst the balloon. You can cut a small round hole to insert the bulb.
