The menace of dowry

Let’s pledge to stop this menace

Dowry would be razed only with our interference

It has destroyed the future of many an innocent girl

So let’s cut its ghastly root

For sure, our efforts are going to bear fruit

For those who have accumulated by bribing

Throw money on their daughter’s marriage like anything

But in this world of show off, others go in debt

So let’s pledge not to accept

Why do people go for ‘money pursue’?

Is "money gathering"`A0their only view?

When they are getting a valueable bride?

Who will be symbol of their pride

Who will enlighten their lives

Then why do they ask for some addition

Let’s join hands to end this tradition

Marriage has become a mere bargain

And laws against it are all in vain

Stop this evil, many have died

And many more would be forced to commit suicide

Marriage is a sacred ceremony

Not a game of money

Marriage is a union of two souls

To end dowry, we’ll have to play greater roles

So let’s stand up against this offence

Let’s pledge to stop this menace
