MOST police constables dream of making their sons an SHO or an SP at the most. But this constable, the father of famous Reddy brothers of Karnataka, got much more than his dreams. One of his sons G. Janaradhana Reddy is Karnataka’s Infrastructure Minister and sits on a Rs 2.2 crore gold chair. In my opinion he is doing a great service to India by giving the impression to the world that our country is again becoming a sone ki chidiya. Without getting into a debate about the legality of their mining operations, I have to hand it to the Reddy brothers that they have the capability of turning their iron ore into gold. How they do it no scientist can figure out. The idols that Reddys worships are also made of gold worth Rs 2.8 crore, not to talk of thier gold cutlery and list of jewellery worth lakhs. The fact that senior BJP leaders like Sushma Swaraj have recently come out openly against them shows that they need to check the quality of their gold. No doubt, they have a capacity to buy gold but they also can buy even more precious items like MLAs. Somebody asked
Janaradhana, "Why do you invest in MLAs, when you have so much of
gold. He said, "The price of the MLAs never drops whereas gold
prices may dip at times."
