Rhyme time
Those wonderful days
As I walk up
the ladder
And wave
goodbye to yet
another year
I remember
those days
And miss the
way they were
The running in
the streets
Behind totally
unknown things
Running with
friends, as if we were flying
As if we had
wings
The screaming
and shouting
And playing in
the middle of the so familiar ground
And squealing
with delight on getting the best ice-creams flavours
Whether
triangular, rectangular or sometimes even round
And relishing
every moment and every flavour
Of the, oh! so
wonderful times
Relishing them
as if they weren’t only a part of my life
But also had
the melodious music of the chimes
And now as I
look down my memory ladder
Remembering
every such moment of my childhood
And locking
them in my mind
I think about
those times as the best, not just good
