THE bitter fallout between Charlie Sheen, lead star of Two and a Half Men and Warner Brothers Television seems to have come to a head. The sitcom was taken off the air a few weeks ago and Sheen, who was the highest paid TV actor at $ 1 million per episode, was fired. The reason was his ‘erratic behaviour’ and ‘self-destructive conduct’. The feud erupted when Sheen badmouthed the show’s creator Chuck Lorre on a news show. The producers terminated Sheen’s contract and took the show off the air. Now it seems Warner Brothers have had a re-think and may revive one of the most successful television comedies of recent times, which is being aired on Star World in India. A hunt has begun for a new lead. According to some reports Matt Dillon tops the list. But Sheen is threatening to take legal recourse.

Animated mythology

For generations, the legend of Lord Krishna has regaled Indians in his many avatars. Cartoon Network brings Krishna & Balram every Sundays at 11.30 A.M for young viewers. The stories revolve around eight-year-old Krishna’s and nine-year-old Balram’s escapades in Vrindavan. Whether it is playing pranks on the unsuspecting Gopis or stealing butter (makhan) or destroying demons like Bakasur sent to kill him by his evil uncle Kansa, the young Krishna, Balram, Radha and friends Udhoi and Madho are always having fun. — NF
