Jammu/New Delhi, February 13
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram today warned the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of action if it did not correct depiction of some parts of Jammu and Kashmir in China in one of its maps. Reacting to queries of reporters here, Chidambram said: “I haven’t seen the reports yet. But it’s a big mistake and if they (PDP) do not correct it, some action will be taken.”

The simmering controversy over direct recruitment of doctors this year by the health department versus last year’s recruitment of doctors through the Punjab Public Service Commission escalated today with health department officials firmly denying any irregularity.

Arun Shourie to face CBI in 2G scam
New Delhi, February 13
Arun ShourieFormer Communication Minister and senior BJP leader Arun Shourie has been summoned by the CBI for questioning on February 21 in connection with its investigation into the 2G scam, in which it has already arrested former Communication Minister A Raja and his two former aides. Shourie claims he had alerted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and, subsequently, the investigating agencies, including the CBI, regarding the scam happening under the Raja’s reign, a claim which the ruling UPA has brushed aside.
