Today I saw my face in the mirror There I realised, it was someone else I saw Regrets, horror, sorrow, terror I saw nothing but so many flaws I shut my eyes To escape my cries It doesn’t change anything So I open them to feel the sting And now I introspect again Hoping to feel something better than pain And to my joy, now I can see O! finally the real me Samridhi Sharma, VIII, The winter season Winter is culminating Shedding its effects Some devastating Making us freeze in our quilts hot Tea and coffee offer comfort a lot Birds and trees have turned pale Streets are silent like a dumb dale But it works the way it would Let’s put on caps and burn the wood This big breath of nature which we call cold Will soon give way to spring let’s dream and behold.
