Apple, a fruit that grows in a cold climate, is being cultivated at Batu, Indonesia, right at the Equator in a warm tropical climate, which is not short of a miracle. Batu growers produce 65 tons of apples in one hectare, which is 10 times the yield being obtained in Himachal Pradesh. Not only that, Batu growers cultivate two crops in year and that too at the time of the year that suits them. — Dr Chiranjit Parmar
