Indian idol, Hollywood tunes
The winner of Indian
Idol 2010 is going places. Sreeram Chandra was picked by Fox Star
Studios, the producers of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of
the Dawn Treader, to sing a song for the 3-D magnum opus. Sreeram
has sung the song in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu — the four
languages the film has been released in. The song "Rehnuma"
written by Harpreet Singh has music by Pinky Poonawala and is
already topping the charts. "I feel really on the top of the
world to become the first one to sing for a Hollywood film. My hard
work is paying off," says the singer, who has his bag full of
assignments with top music directors. |

When three’s
company
This highly popular
American series is a mockumentary featuring a super cool dad, a
passionate homemaker and a typical teenager who all make for a crazy
family. Modern Family from Monday to Friday at 11 P.M. on Star
World is the winner of the Primetime Emmy Awards 2010 for the most
outstanding comedy series. The sitcom revolves around the families of
Jay Pritchett, his daughter Claire and son Mitchell, who all live in
Los Angeles. Jay has re-married a much younger Columbian woman, who
has a teenage son of her own. His daughter Claire is married to Phil
and the two are constantly chasing their three kids. Jay’s son
Mitchell has a live-in girlfriend with whom he has adopted a
Vietnamese baby. The comic drama is a satirical look at three
different families and the trails they face in their own uniquely
comedic ways. — NF
