Venice in one of the world’s most spectacular gaming resort. Ultimate
Vegas Casino on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on the National Geographic
Channel explores the incredible building, design, and operation of the
Venetian Casino and Resort in Las Vegas — reportedly the world’s
largest hotel. Mirrored after the canal-laden Italian city of Venice,
the resort has the replica of the Rialto Bridge, with gondoliers
crooning melodious songs. The banks are dotted with cafes and Venetian
cobblestone streetscape, with strolling performers. For a moment you
would be fooled into believing that you are going under the Bridge of
Sighs in Venice. But the most pleasant surprise awaits you as you look
up at the hotel ceiling. There’s a stunning Michelangelo-style of
fresco that covers the arched ceiling. Many guests confess that they
rarely leave the resort because there were so many things to do. — NF
