Nothing but the truth

Moment of Truth IF Sach Ka Saamna startled viewers with its confessions, Moment of Truth every Monday at 9 p.m. on Star World will make your jaw drop. In the show hosted by Mark Walberg, contestants are asked 50 increasingly personal and embarrassing questions in exchange for big cash prizes.

Prior to the show, the contestant is hooked up to a polygraph and asked questions. Without knowing the results of the test, the contestant is asked 21 of those same questions on the show — each becoming progressively more personal in nature. If the contestant answers honestly, according to the polygraph results, he or she moves on to the next question. However, should a contestant lie in any one of the answers or refuse to reply to any question the game ends abruptly.

Digital technology has many uses. It can help nab criminals, record natural catastrophes, chronicle unforeseen events like sudden accidents, attacks and bizarre human and animal behaviour. Caught on Camera on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on AXN is a series that features some of the most dramatic and compelling events ever caught on tape. There are cops, criminals, and ordinary citizens captured under extreme situations — whether teetering on the edge of life and death, battling an attacker or surviving a deadly explosion. The show features real-life events like sinking ships, tornadoes, a plane going into a tailspin and a house engulfed in flames with people trapped inside. These incidents range from the wacky to uncanny and from life threatening and people tempting fate. Indeed, viewer fascination for horrific and fearsome events caught on cameras seems to be immense.

Chhavi MittalChhavi returns

Veteran actress Chhavi Mittal, who did a few cameos in shows like Grihasti and Naagiin, is back. The Tumhari Disha actress will be seen in Ek Chutki Aasmaan on SaharaOne from Monday, where she will be playing mother to a seven-year old girl.

"I’m excited about playing a single mother. The show is about the relationship between the mother and the daughter," says Chhavi. She’s also keen on doing reality shows. "Reality shows offer you a chance to be yourself and offer something different than regular soaps. I would be very interested in participating in a reality show," says Chhavi, who’s done Jjhoom India and Saas V/S Bahu earlier on SaharaOne.— NF
